Nice Fall Weather and Let's Keep it that Way!

It's been a normal week at school if there ever is such a thing as a normal week at school. Friday Gregg and I worked hard in the yard--rhymes-- and got all the gardens taken care of and some of the leaves. We are about ready for winter or not. Cameron and Taryn came home Friday evening. Cameron went to the football game and Taryn went with Gregg and I to the Canyon Inn to eat. I had to have my fix of cheese enchilada. They were wonderful. On Saturday Cameron went hunting with the guys. Taryn and I went over to Preston to meet Mom. She had some apple juice for everyone. We met and ate at the Taco Bus of all places. Actually the food was good. It was an adventure. Saturday night we went to the movie, The City of Ember. The book was so much better. Oh well. Everyone have a great week.

Another Week in October

It's been a busy week. It seems like they go by so fast. I had parent teacher conference Wednesday night. That made a marathon day. It seemed like everyone was tired all week, students and teachers alike. On Saturday Gregg and I went to Pocatello to watch the homecoming festivities. It was fun. We watched the parade, ate at Wingers, shopped at the mall, and came home with some of Cameron's yummy jerky. It was a fun day and the weather also cooperated. Taryn played a major part in creating the float for the dental hygiene department. She and her committee did a great job. It was a great entry. I also want to wish John a happy birthday on Oct. 15, and Cydney on Oct. 19. Everyone have a good week. I wish you happiness and success with everything you must accomplish this week.

Can You Believe It????

What a week. First, I am on bus duty before and after school. The before school is not bad, but the after school goes on forever. I'm also on breakfast duty. Then we had to go to school all week, yes, even Friday--teacher inservice. I know, whine not.
Tuesday night was fun, however, as we went to Logan and took John out for dinner to celebrate his birthday. It was fun to spend time with Mom and John. We went to Blackstones. I forgot my camera, so no pictures of this. Also, happy birthday to my little brother Brett and also to Skyler. Hope they both had happy days.
Taryn and Cameron came home on Friday so Cameron could go hunting. He got his deer during the great October blizzard. Which brings me to the weather. I like winter ok, but a blizzard in October. I don't know about that. Everyone have a great week. Take care of yourselves, study or work hard, and also have a little fun. I have duty again this week. Help!
Looking out the kitchen window. At least the flowers inside are ok.

Looking down the road toward Aunt Gwenn's house.

Mokee is very confused. It shouldn't be winter yet.

Looking out the back window.

Phillip. Are you crazy? Nope, just saving the cows.

Walking in a winter wonderland. Not!

Back to school. See you Saturday at homecoming ISU.

September moving into October

It's been a busy couple of weeks. Of course we have had school and work. We have also tried to play a little bit. Gregg and I managed to go to the movies once. Last weekend when the kids were home for the first time since leaving for college in August, we decided to go for a jeep ride. We always take the dog with us everywhere and Taryn and Gregg decided the cat should not be left out. So, Mokee was placed in her cat carrier and merrily we went on our way. That is an alliteration by the way. Of course, we were way down in the bird refuge and the jeep, for the first time ever, decided to quit. We were finally able to get hold of Gregg's brother, Gene, and he came to the rescue, taking Gregg and Mokee home and leaving Maya, Taryn, and me to guard the jeep in the pitch black darkness. Every time we would hear a strange noise, we would scream or I would baboon call. Then all the cows around Paris would start mooing. When Gregg returned, with a flashlight no less, he was able to figure out what was wrong. It was just a little wire. Off we went and all was well. Our great Paris safari adventure.
I was also able to go and watch Payge at the cross country meet the other day. Boy did the wind blow. Bear Lake girls did awesome. Way to go. Mom took us to eat after the meet. It was fun to see her. This weekend, Taryn and Cameron came home. Taryn has a big part of responsibility for the homecoming float for the dental hygeine program. Well, we worked most of Friday and all day Saturday building a giant tooth, the head of a lumberjack and two giant toothbrushes. It was fun, but we really had to use our creative brains. I hope they will work for her. Good luck Taryn and parade committee. Gregg and Cameron were both good to cheer us on, help when needed, and just basically stay out of our way. When Taryn and I are creating, we are not to be disturbed. Ha! Ha
And now another week begins. May we all have a good one.
