A Nice Fall Weekend

Well, not really much to talk about. The weekend is almost over. They go by so quickly. Friday night Gregg and I had an elder's quorum party up in Bloomington Canyon. We had deep fried chicken and Dutch oven potatoes. It was tasty. The wind was blowing soooo hard and it was a little chilly, but we had a nice big fire going. It was a lot of work but worth it I guess. Saturday I cleaned house and worked on my Relief Society lesson. I am always relieved when I am finished with my lesson. It was a hard one to get a handle on this month. Saturday we had lots of interaction with animals. Only in Paris, Idaho would cows come to visit along with pigeons. It was rather entertaining. Everybody have a good week.

Another Fun Weekend

Well, another week of school has already buzzed by. I will be glad when everyone is in a routine. Gregg had to work Thursday night, so I just did some things around the house and read my huge novel that I am trying to finish. Friday we went to town and I washed rugs at the laundramat while Gregg got new tires put on the car. We then went grocery shopping. Oh happy days. I then had chores to do around the house like mopping the floor. Saturday was fun. I went to the Cardinal Classic Crosscountry Run in Soda Springs. There was also a huge bike race that went through Montpelier enroute from Logan to Jackson. I could hardly believe the traffice between Soda and Montpelier. I counted 1000 cars and then finally stopped counting thinking I was really lame. The race was fun and the weather was beautiful. I was able to see and hang out with Mom and John, Dana, and Leslie. I saw the middle schoolers run and also watched Jessica, Janessa, Ashley, and Payge run. They all did a great job. Jessica came in 2nd in the varsity run. Cydney was running at BYU this weekend. As of this posting, I don't know how she did. After the race I went home and Gregg and I finished getting the garden in. This time of year kind of makes me sad. All the flowers are leaving and the garden is finished. I hope winter won't be quite as long and harsh as last year. Well, let the new week begin.

Labor Day Weather

I couldn't believe when I woke up this morning and saw little white flakes coming out of the clouds for a few minutes. This will be a really good day to read a book. School again tomorrow and it's the real thing this time, a long time until a holiday. I hope the storm in the Gulf will not be too bad.
Rain Rain go away, come again on a school day.
Its getting colder.

To read the documentation about the fun day in Pocatello, make sure you go back in my posts. I really did this wrong and am on the phone with Taryn. She will try and help me get my pictures. I am such a dodo with computers.

Help. I lost all my pictures.

Fun Day in Pocatello

I crawled out of school on Thursday, but I revived myself when Gregg suggested we go to Soda Springs for dinner and a movie. We ate at A&W and then went to see The Mummy. I actually really liked the movie; it had some really neat special effects. Friday I got up early and with Gregg's help, got the housework finished. About 3 o'clock, I took off for Smithfield. I stayed with Mom and John. We went for dinner to Calloways (a great Italian place). I had portebello mushroom pasta. It was wonderful. We then went home and just visited for awhile. Saturday Mom and I got up way early and headed for Pocatello. We picked up Taryn and Cameron and they guided us to the cross country meet. We were able to watch Cydney run her first race for ISU. It was really fun but soooo windy. After the race, we went out to show Cameron where Mom used to live. While at Juniper Hills, we saw some very unique animals. Ha. Ha. Ask any of us the story and we will tell you. We then went to see Cyd's and Skyler's apartment and then went to Red Lobster to eat. It was wonderful. Thankyou Mom and John for feeding all of us. The kids had huge smiles on their faces. Oh yes, we can't forget Mom's broken window. Here window went down all by itself and then would not go back up. My side. We had to go all the way back to Smithfield with the window down. It was just like the old days before air conditioning. We took Taryn and Cameron back to their apartment and then Mom and I headed for home. I got back to Bear Lake in the early evening. it was a good day and really fun to see everyone. These kids all grew up so fast.
